Create a Product Space in Fibery
Create a Space from scratch, add only the databases your product process needs, and then share it deliberately. A Space groups a process; a database stores one kind of record.
Before you start: Use a workspace Admin account to create the Space. Admins or Space Architects can configure its structure. Check database allowances before adding a template.
Worked example: An onboarding team starts with Feature and Interview databases in a Product Discovery Space. Delivery work stays in its existing Space, connected later through relations.
Step-by-step guide
Create the container
Click + beside Spaces and choose the from-scratch option. Name it Product Discovery so a teammate can distinguish research work from delivery.
Add the first database
Use + beside the Space name and choose Database. Add Feature first; avoid installing several overlapping templates for one process.
Define a minimum useful record
In the database Fields section add a Workflow field for progress and a People field for responsibility. Keep detailed discussion in Rich Text.
Give the process a view
Use the Space + menu to add a Table and select Feature as its rows. Create two sample records before broadening the schema.
Decide who can participate
Use the Space Access page to invite the intended people with an appropriate access level. Verify a colleague sees the expected records.
Common mistakes
Confusing a Space with a database
Use separate databases for different record types, rather than one Space for each individual feature.
Sharing before checking the contents
A broad Space grant can include its data. Put sensitive customer material in a deliberately controlled location.
