How to create task report in Confluence
Create a Confluence Task report on a page, then filter by source space or pages, assignee and incomplete status.
The current documentation flags this macro as unavailable in live docs, so start with a published-page workflow. A focused report can show outstanding actions from release review meetings without copying them into another checklist.
Step-by-step guide
Create real source action items
In a meeting page, insert an Action item, describe the outcome and @mention the responsible person. For example, “Confirm rollback owner @Maya” should exist as an action item, not as an ordinary bullet with a name.
Insert Task report on a page
Create or edit the report page and find Task report in the slash insert menu. If the report surface is a live doc, convert it to a page first rather than assuming this macro is supported there.
Configure scope and columns
Set Space(s) and Page(s) to the release-review sources, Task status to Incomplete and Assigned to if the report is personal. Show description, due date, assignee and location. Sort by due date when that gives reviewers a useful action order.
Check the source-to-report behavior
Publish and verify that the rollback action appears with its source location. Mark that source item complete and confirm it no longer belongs in the incomplete report. If an action is missing, inspect its source scope and actual task status before widening the whole report.
Common mistakes
Reporting every space by default
An oversized task collection makes release-specific follow-through harder. Start from the smallest relevant source set.
