Review Canny Autopilot Suggestions
Use Autopilot’s manual mode when your team should approve suggested actions. Automated mode changes the same area into an audit of actions already taken.
Before you start: Have an authorized feedback source and permission to configure Autopilot. Check the current plan and avoid relying on legacy credit information from older videos.
Worked example: A closed support conversation mentions scheduled exports only as a hypothetical example. Rejecting that suggestion avoids creating a request the customer never actually made.
Step-by-step guide
Confirm the mode
Open Autopilot in settings and choose manual review when approval is required. Check this before expecting the tab to hold pending actions.
Inspect the source context
Open an inbox suggestion and read the original conversation. Verify customer identity, the requested outcome and whether the customer was actually asking for it.
Choose the right destination
Compare a proposed new post with existing requests. Merge equivalent needs only when scope and evidence support that choice.
Approve only the supported action
Process the suggestion with the appropriate creation, merge or dismissal choice. Do not accept a batch based only on suggested titles.
Review processing health
Keep pending suggestions moving. The documented workflow pauses further processing at 100 pending items; inspect resolved source behavior before adding more sources.
Common mistakes
Mistaking the audit log for an approval queue
Automated mode shows completed actions. Turning it on changes what review means and can create or merge posts before a human inspects them.
