Feature Prioritization Template for Linear (Free)

Label System for Prioritization
Create label groups for prioritization dimensions: Impact (High Impact, Medium Impact, Low Impact), Confidence (High Confidence, Medium Confidence, Low Confidence), and Theme (Growth, Retention, Platform, Tech Debt). These labels replace custom fields and enable filtered views.
Prioritization Project
Create a "Prioritization: [Quarter]" project. Add all candidate features as issues in this project. Use Linear's built-in priority field (Urgent, High, Medium, Low, No Priority) for initial triage. Add Impact and Confidence labels for RICE-like scoring.
Custom Views
Create filtered views: "High Impact + High Confidence" (quick wins to approve), "High Impact + Low Confidence" (needs validation), "Low Impact" (candidates for decline), and "By Theme" (grouped for strategic balance). Share these views with stakeholders for async input.
Triage Workflow
Use Linear's triage inbox for new feature requests. The PM reviews triage weekly, assigns Impact and Confidence labels, and either moves items to the prioritization project or declines them with a reason. This prevents feature requests from accumulating without review.
