Triage Setup
All feature requests land in Triage automatically. Enable Triage for your team in Settings > Team > Triage. Requests stay in Triage until a PM reviews them and either moves them to Backlog with a priority or marks them as Declined.
Request Format
Use a consistent description template for requests. Include: Problem (what the user struggles with), Impact (how many users are affected), Current Workaround (what they do today), and Proposed Solution (what they want). This gives the PM enough context to triage without follow-up.
Labels and Filtering
Create labels for request source: Customer Request, Internal Request, Sales Request. Add labels for theme: Growth, Retention, Infrastructure. Use filtered views to see all requests by source or theme for pattern recognition.
Voting and Prioritization
Use Linear reactions or a custom "Votes" property (via integrations) to track demand. Sort Triage by vote count to surface the most-requested features. Combine votes with strategic alignment for prioritization decisions.
