HIPAA Documentation Controls
Use Confluence page restrictions to limit access to authorized team members. Add a red Info macro banner: "No PHI in this document." Enable Confluence audit logging to track who accessed and modified the PRD. These controls support HIPAA Security Rule requirements.
Clinical Workflow Specification
Use Confluence draw.io diagrams to document clinical workflows. Show the current state (how clinicians work today) and the future state (how the feature changes the workflow). Highlight decision points where clinical judgment is required and where the system provides guidance.
Jira Compliance Tracking
Use the Jira Issues macro to embed compliance-labeled Jira stories. Create a Jira filter for all stories with the hipaa-relevant label linked to this PRD. The Confluence page shows real-time compliance implementation status.
Clinical Validation Requirements
Document the clinical validation plan: which clinical roles will test (physicians, nurses, pharmacists), what clinical scenarios will be validated, and what constitutes clinical acceptance. Use a Confluence table with test scenarios mapped to clinical outcomes.
