Strategy Overview Panel
Use the Confluence Panel macro to create a prominent strategy overview at the top of the page: vision statement, current quarter focus, and key metrics. This panel should be readable in 30 seconds and provide the context needed for anyone referencing the strategy document.
Jira-Linked Strategic Pillars
For each strategic pillar, embed a Jira macro showing the epics and initiatives that implement it. This creates a live connection between strategy and execution: as tickets progress in Jira, the strategy page reflects actual progress. Use the Jira roadmap macro for timeline views.
Decision Log
Use the Confluence Decision macro to maintain a log of strategic decisions: what was decided, why, who decided, and what alternatives were considered. This log is invaluable when new team members join or when revisiting past decisions. It prevents re-litigating settled questions.
Competitive Context
Include a competitive positioning section using the Confluence Table macro. Update quarterly with competitor movements that affect strategy. Link to the full competitive analysis page for details.
Quarterly Review Template
Include a template for quarterly strategy reviews: what worked, what did not work, what changed in the market, and what adjustments are needed. Create a child page for each quarterly review so the history is preserved.
