Patient Safety Sprint Prioritization
Stories with Patient Safety Impact rated High or Critical automatically move to the top of the sprint backlog. Use Jira Automation: when Patient Safety Impact changes to High or Critical, set priority to Highest and add the patient-safety label. This ensures safety-critical work is never deprioritized.
Clinical Workflow Validation
Add a Clinical Validation status to the Jira workflow for stories affecting clinical workflows. Clinical stakeholders (nurses, physicians, clinical informaticists) must approve the implementation matches the intended clinical workflow before the story moves to Done.
HIPAA Sprint Review Documentation
Generate sprint review documentation using Jira Confluence Pages. Include PHI touchpoint summary, patient safety assessment for all completed stories, and clinical validation results. Archive this documentation for HIPAA audit readiness.
