Notion Roadmap Database
Create a Notion database with columns: Initiative (title), Quarter (select: Q1-Q4), Priority (select: P0-P3), Regulatory Impact (select: None/Low/High/Blocking), Compliance Deadline (date), Status (Not Started/In Progress/Complete), and Linked PRD (relation). Use Timeline view for visual roadmap and Board view grouped by Quarter.
Compliance Milestone Track
Add a separate Notion database for compliance milestones: SOC 2 audit windows, PCI-DSS recertification dates, new regulation effective dates, and license renewal deadlines. Relate compliance milestones to roadmap initiatives so the team sees which features are compliance-driven.
Risk-Adjusted Prioritization
Use a Notion formula to calculate risk-adjusted priority: (Customer Impact x Revenue Potential) / (Effort x Regulatory Risk). Add these as number columns with a formula column for the final score. Sort the roadmap by this score to surface high-impact, low-risk items.
Regulatory Release Windows
Document when features can and cannot be released. Some fintech features have regulatory release windows: end-of-quarter blackout periods for trading platforms, tax-season freezes for accounting products, and audit-window freezes. Mark these windows in the Notion Timeline view.
