FigmaFigma plugin

Start designing from something real

Vantage turns a product spec into a working prototype. The plugin brings that prototype into Figma as an editable layer tree, so the first draft already contains the structure, the copy and the decisions your team agreed.

What the plugin does

Import a prototype

Pick a project and any prototype pushed from Vantage is waiting. Import places it in the current file as a nested, editable layer tree.

Sync screens back

Send frames from Figma to Vantage so the spec and the design stay in step as the design moves. Only the screens you select are sent.

Apply drafted changes

Copy and style edits written in Vantage arrive as a duplicate of the screen with the change applied. Your original frame is never overwritten.

Browse your library

Pull any prototype from your Vantage workspace without leaving Figma, rather than going back to push it first.

What lands on the canvas

An import is not a screenshot and not a flat pile of rectangles. The prototype is rendered, measured, and rebuilt as Figma nodes, so what arrives is a document you can edit rather than a picture you have to redraw.

  • Nested frames with auto-layout, read from the prototype’s own flex layout rather than guessed from coordinates
  • Live text layers with the original font, size, weight, colour and line height
  • Icons as real vectors, so they can be recoloured and resized
  • Photographs embedded as image fills
  • Gradients, opacity, corner radius, borders and shadows

Setting it up

1

Install the plugin in Figma

Find Vantage in the Figma Community and run it from any design file. The plugin works in the browser and in the desktop app.

2

Connect your Vantage account

Press Connect Vantage. A tab opens in your browser where you sign in to Vantage as normal. The plugin never sees your email or password — it receives a session token once you have signed in, and you can revoke it by signing out.

3

Choose the project you are working on

Pick a workspace and project from the selector. Everything the plugin shows and everything it syncs belongs to that project, so work from one project never lands in another file by accident.

4

Import, or sync

Prototypes pushed from Vantage appear in the panel ready to import. Going the other way, Sync to Vantage sends the screens in the open file so they can be read alongside the spec.

How your data is handled

Only what you select

Vantage reads the screens you choose to sync and nothing else. Frames you have not selected are never read or transmitted, and the plugin cannot reach your file at all while it is closed.

Sign-in stays in your browser

Authentication happens on app.vantageos.tech. The plugin receives an opaque token through a single-use key exchange, so it can only ever collect a session your own browser created.

One origin, no remote code

The plugin talks to a single Vantage origin. Imported prototypes are made self-contained before they arrive, so nothing executes code fetched from elsewhere.

Screens you sync are stored in your own Vantage workspace and are readable only by that workspace. To report a security issue, email team@vantageos.tech. See our privacy policy for how data is handled across Vantage.
